He is the Executive Director of CITA (Christians in Theatre Arts), an original member of the Artist Formation Group with the Brehm Center at Fuller Theological Seminary, a Theatre Liaison with Wedgwood Circle, a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Alabama School of the Arts and has been a member of The Broadway League the national trade association for the Broadway industry. Long has produced on Broadway, Off-Broadway and on London’s West End where his affiliated productions have garnered four Tony Awards and two Oliver Awards while collecting 15 Tony Award nominations and eight Olivier Award nominations.
